Sparacino Farms

Sparacino Farms is a family-run avocado and citrus farm located in Peats Ridge, NSW, in the Central Coast Hinterland. Established in 1973, the farm is now operated by brothers Joe and Alf Sparacino, who have extensive knowledge and experience in the industry. The farm is dedicated to sustainable farming practices and high-quality produce, maintaining a strong commitment to integrating environmentally friendly solutions into its operations.

Project Overview

The journey began with Sparacino Farms reaching out to Cyanergy to explore options for reducing energy costs and enhancing sustainability. Cyanergy’s team conducted a thorough assessment of the farm’s energy needs and financial goals, offering a tailored solar solution that included a 99.76 kW system for the farm and a separate 27.7 kW system with battery storage for the residential property.

Throughout the project, Cyanergy provided expert guidance and support, from the initial consultation through to the installation and activation of the solar systems. The team ensured a seamless integration process, addressing any concerns and delivering on their promise of efficiency and cost savings.

The total cost for the solar installation was $96,819.05. The project is set to achieve a payback period of 30 months, with average monthly savings estimated at $3,000.00. Before installation, the farm’s yearly electricity bill was $48,000.00, which has been reduced to $12,000.00 following the solar upgrade.

In addition to the agricultural system, Sparacino Farms invested in a 27.7 kW solar system for their residential property, featuring a 19.2 kWh battery storage system. This residential installation supports further energy efficiency and cost savings.
